Position Overview – Survey Technician
As a Survey Technician, you’ll be an essential part of our Surveying Team, supporting a wide range of field data collection, construction staking, and drafting activities. You’ll work closely with experienced staff, project managers, and clients while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of land surveying.
This role offers excellent growth potential for someone who is motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Perform field data collection and construction staking with accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct records research and maintain survey databases
- Document daily field activities with clear notes, sketches, and reports
- Communicate project updates, questions, or changes to the Project Manager and clients
- Follow company and job‑site safety procedures and use required safety equipment
- Upload and download survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Draft survey drawings and assist with preparation of survey documents
- Collaborate with team members to meet project schedules, budgets, and client expectations
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of survey experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to pass random drug testing
- PLS or Certified Survey Technician certification is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse project team
- Self‑motivation, initiative, and a desire to take on new challenges
- Clear communication skills and accountability
- Ability to maintain accurate project records and files
