Civil Engineer

Position Summary

Combs & Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects including land development, municipal infrastructure, site design, stormwater management, and utility improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, project management abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
  • Design site development projects including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, roadways, and erosion control.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, clients, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with project permitting and agency approvals.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and technical analyses.
  • Perform site inspections and construction observation as needed.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Review and ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support to drafting and surveying staff.
  • Participate in client meetings and project presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
  • Knowledge of site development, municipal infrastructure, stormwater design, and utility systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
